Aalen is located in the state of Baden-Württemberg between Ulm and Stuttgart. It is the largest town in the Ostalbkreis district and in the Ostwürttemberg region, and it's the second-largest in the Government Region of Stuttgart. Situated in the foothills of the Swabian Jura mountains, Aalen has excellent natural surroundings to explore.
